David: Thank you so much. Our first guest is the currently nominated for 6 of Grammy awards and stars in a new motion picture version of the Pink Panther opens on Friday. Here’s the lovely, Beyonce Knowls.

(Beyonce enters)

D: You smell great. Oh my got, you smell terrific. What is that? It just smells wonderful.

Beyonce: TRUE STAR.

D: Is that what it is?

B: Yeah.

D: Very nice. What do you think? It’s like an after shave? Provably not an after shave, is it?

B: No, but own fragrance.

D: Nice going on that. You’ve got all of that one. Congratulations under the Grammies tomorrow night, and you’re here now but you’re going to the Grammies and what do you do when you get there? What’s the day like for ya?

B: It’s pretty hectic. I have the hair make up and I’m actually getting on the plane now try to go to Grammy party tonight in Los Angels and then I have a show, but I’m not performing so it’s easy, I can just relax and watch…

D: Nominated for 6 Grammies, is that correct?

B: Yeah.

D: And when you win, you know what you say? You know what happens when you go up there?

B: I haven’t thought about it, actually. I hope we win some thing, but the other girl Destiny Child I let them do the talk and I just stand there.

D: Now the group is breaking up end of its run, is that right?

B: We’ve been together since we were 9 years old. So now we are older and each have own individual dreams and goals but we are best friends, we grow up together and almost still support each other. We actually have a performance at the all-star game in a couple of weeks.

D: NBA game?

B: Yeah.

D: But of course people thinks like this happens, people thinks, you know that’s what you say, but there must be a real reason why the group is breaking up. So so, what we would like to know now is the real reason the group is breaking up.

B: The reason is because we are getting older. We each have an own things we wanna do.

D: right, and the…for example, what do you wanna do?

B: I wanna do more movies, more albums, and more show like this.

D: Oh really? Can you come back tomorrow night? No, you’ll be California.

D：すごくいい匂いがするけど、それは何？素晴らしい匂いだね！

B：トゥルースターよ。

D：それがその匂い？

B：そうよ。

D：凄いね！それは何、シェービングムース（剃ったあと）の匂いとか？きっと違うだろうけどね？

B：違うわよ、これは私の香水なの。

D：へ〜すごいねぇ！明日のグラミーのお祝いを言わないとね。今はここにいるけど、グラミーの会場に行くんだよね。それで着いたら何をするの？ビヨンセにとってどんな日になるの？

B：結構忙しいのよ。髪の毛を整えて実際にはもう飛行機に乗って会場のロスに行っているはずなんだけど、でも私はパフォーマンスとかしなくていいから結構楽かもね。リラックスして見てれば・・・

D：６つの賞にノミネートされたんだよね？

B：そう。

D：もし受賞したら、何て言うの？前に出たときに何言うかもう決めてあるの？

B：まだ決めてないわ。何か受賞できたらいんだけどね。他のデスチャの子たちに任せるわ。私はそこに立ってると思う。

D：グループが解散するって本当？

B：私たちは９歳の頃から一緒にいるし、今はもう大人になってそれぞれの夢とかゴールとかがあるけど、それでも私たちはベストフレンドな事は変わらないし、これからも一緒に成長して、お互いをサポートするわ。数週間後にオールスターの試合でパフォーマンスもするし。

D：NBAの？

B：そうね。

D：でも普通、解散とかなるとやっぱり他のホントの理由があるんじゃない？つまり、私たちが今知りたいのは、解散する本当の理由だよ。

B：だから〜、本当の理由は、私たちが大人になったって事よ。私たちそれぞれにやりたい事が出来てきたのよ。

D：そっかぁ・・・じゃあ、例えばビヨンセは何がしたいんだい？

B：もっと映画に出たり、アルバムを作ったり、あともっとこんな番組にも出たいわね。

D：ほんと！？じゃあ明日の夜また来てくれるかな？なんて、明日はカリフォルニアにいるんだよね。
